Lensy Campaign

Lensy is BostonSight’s ambassador. She was drawn by Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Daniel Brocks, to explain scleral lenses to his children. I took the drawing and had a graphic designer turn it into a digital graphic. I then hired a company to create a plush prototype, which we used to attract attention to BostonSight by bringing her to conferences and events.

The following year, we created a fundraising campaign where donors could choose to donate a Lensy to our Network Clinics for use with pediatric patients. In addition, I wrote and designed, using Canva, a simple children’s book about scleral lenses. In the book, Lensy helps her friend, Sophie Sheep, go to the eye doctor to get fit with scleral lenses. Dr. Anna Maria Baglieri and Grace Windmueller of Boston Children’s Hospital provided invaluable feedback on the book.

Finally, I used AI generative text prompts to produce our final campaign slogan: Give the Gift of Lensy: The cuddly companion that teaches about eye health.
